Here is a small project to fill in an afternoon or evening. A pot pourri bowl specially requested by swmbo. Made from a piece northern silky oak 150mm x 30mm. It didn't hit the spot as the lid is a factory job, "Why didn't you make the lid from wood". So looks like the next one has to be made with a wooden lid.. :(( Wimmen???????

Nice job Jim... I particularly like the way you painted that lid to look like metal.

First nice job Jim

Now I am confused is the top wood or a cast metal of some description:?

Either way it looks really good but I do not know how you can do that so quickly it would take me 2-3 days but I'm still on my L plates

Well done Pot Pourri Bowl. I like the UFO look to the narrow rim, too. You're really fast... especially when having to carve that lid. :D
Lookin' good!!

Jim, what's wrong with wimmen, they are sweet, but sometimes ..... :())
If she don't like the potpourri bowl, well send it to me, I like it a lot.
Very nice decoration you brought up at the rim, it looks like a flying saucer. Really a great job :2tsup:
