My original article on zigzag dining chairs - www.festoolusa.com/Web_files/Domino_WCM_zigzag.pdf - did not include instructions for building a carver. Here is an article on building a matching carver; the chair is designed so that its mortices can either be routed with a morticing jig, or else milled with a Domino tenon-joiner. The zigzag dining chairs described in the original article were designed to be built using a Domino. But the design could easily be modified to be made with a router and morticing jig by substituting a single through tenon to reinforce the mitre joints, as in the carver.

This article is one of three describing the building of a zigzag dining set. The zigzag dining table article is posted in post #18 in this thread: http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=50036&page=2 . I posted that article without most of its photos, but most of them were posted in the thread.

Hi Rocker,

Thanks for that. Just love that chair. (followed your previous threads of course).

It is on the 'to do' list.

Well done on the article publication.

Cheers
