I have a small area of rot in a timber (ply) deck.

I believe Blue 7 is the ideal treatment after I've cut out the rotted timber; however, Blue 7 is off the market at the moment (the distributors tell me) because it is being reclassified as a poison.

Can anyone suggest another product I could use to (a) kill any remaining rot and (b) prevent further rotting?

This (the deck rotting) may end up being an ongoing problem for you because as far as I know there is no ply suitable for exterior decking. I assume it's exterior, otherwise it's a floor. Even marine grade ply, which is horrendously expensive is not suitable in this application without some form of waterproof membrane. If you give us a bit more information we may be able to advise further. (BTW, "we" is not the royal plural here, I mean other forum memebers and myself.:) ).

Yes blue 7 is off the market because it contained unsafe substances.
Try Multiprime. it has been around in the USA for 20 years and is now sold in AUstralia. The tel no. is 03 95332444
