G'day ppl,

My Rear Windscreen Demister has dropped it Electrical Tags off.
Where the Wires connect to the Demister at either side.

I'm looking to use LOW Temp Solder to reattach these,
so that I can see out the rear windscreen of a morning:(

Anyone know of the LT Solder I speak of?
Also where to get same?

Hi Ivan,

Wire glue from Jaycar http://www.jaycar.com.au (http://www.jaycar.com.au/) might be suitable, CAT. NO. NM2831
Or try an automotive accessory place, I'm sure I've seen products claiming to be suitable for this purpose in one of these stores.

I not sure if demisters are really soldered to with heat - I would have thought there was a risk of overheating the adhesive bonding the resistive element to the glass.

Ivan,
Dick smith used to sell a epoxy glue in a two part syringe that had a metal component used for "cold soldering". Jaycar or a specialist automotive retailer may have something similar.

there used to be a "silver paint" for that purpose, it cost an arm and a leg, but it got it done.... i think you could get it from Jaycar or Dicky Smith

Auto parts for electrically conductive glue, it's made for that purpose (ask for demister repair glue).
