I found this site

http://www.suntunnel.com/index.htm

which claims that the technology originally came from Australia. So, have you heard of it? If so, what do you have to say about it?

Jim, it looks like what is known as a Solar Tube out here. My parents have one and it seems to work exceptionally well. Other than that I really don,t know much about it.

System is similar, if not identical to Tubelite. Works very well. Biggest advantage appears to be the flexible, reflective tube that transfers the light - avoids in-roof framing, and doesn't require accurate angles as with rigid skylight. Thus fitting is simpler and quicker. Diffuser is fitted at lower end of tube for transmission of softer light throughout room.
