I carved this sign as part of the header for my website. I took several photos, and am having a hard time choosing between #1 daylight in the shade and #2, daylight in the sun. They each have good points, for example, #1 displays softer features and shows more expression, ie, the eyes. #2 appears more "crisp" to me and the shadowing exhibits the depth and under carving of the lettering, which I like a lot, but is a little harsh, and loses the expression in the eyes. #2 has been edited only in the way of the text color, background shadowing and mirror effect. So I guess the question is, #1 shade or #2 sun light shadow?

#1 for me, #2 is too busy with the reflection and takes the eyes away from the details IMHO

Also think the black line after the top text shouldn't be there.

I like the one that is on post #11.
I agree with DJ, it does look more natural.

I too must also add that it is a pretty good piece of carving you have done.

You all have been great help. And thank you for the nice complements as well. As much as some of you did not care for the reflection, I still kind of liked the over all effect while I was working with ideas on a brochure. Take a peek at this one, maybe you will change your mind with it laid out like this (with the other goodies added) Ket me know, ha, and I thought this was going to be easy!

Did have an opinion. Now I'm just confused!
I keep coming back to #1 in each, though.
