Some of the members of this Forum will appreciate the level of agony I've gone through to get the leigh jig operational. (lesmeyer, Stuart.....)

Six months down the track a friend gives me some 'old tools' including an AICHI planer, Jacob lathe etc. In another box was a Makita router- the old type with the handle on the end 3601B. Guess what it has in the box as standard equipment:- a 5/8in templet guide (or guide bush in Leigh speak). This is the one you need on the bigger cutters. Not supplied with leigh jig.

I still can't believe it, after all that agony, e mails, phone calls, discussions in Carbatec store...

Graham,
I have the same router which was purchased second hand, but do not have the guide bushes. In fact the base I have on it does not take the guide bushes, so I purchased a universal base. However the universal base is not good. Battle with centering etc. It is a great little router though. Used it for a number of the other tasks.
