How many sheets of 4X8 ply are needed to build her and how tall are her sides?
Thanks, David

Howdy David,
6 sheets of ply - one is only half used. The two sides take up two whole sheets with only a little wastage. So the sides are about 2ft wide.
The GIS is actually a very high sided boat, but it is hard to notice it.
However, this is what makes such a light boat a lot easier to sail - she has to heel a long, long way before the gunwale goes near the water.
I use a couple of design tricks to make sure she is steerable when well heeled too - which allows most sailors to recover from a sudden gust that they haven't noticed (or something similar)
