Back in April, I started a long term "clean up", in never got finished. Does it ever? This one I think is the last one that was started a while back. Do not really want to face up to how long back. It was marked as 'monkey pod'. Couldn't remember the story, so I scavenged through my old diaries and discovered the story. The tree was planted in a small school yard about 1930 and had to be removed for extensions. This is the last piece. I have since discovered the seed was bought in from Fiji and the seedling raised and planted at the school for shade. I have also discovered it is commonly known as raintree. It is an unusually dark sample, but has some very nice grain patterns. It is 120mm high and 115mm diameter with 3mm wall thickness.

That looks really nice:2tsup: I know of a few big raintrees here but I do not think they will be getting cut down for a while but when they do I will be there with bells on if it looks like that:D
