I have just joined this forum, not because I know anything about metalworking but because I have come into the possession of a very large, old Nuttall lathe. It belonged to my late father and it's still in his workshop in Sydney, but now needs to find a new home. If anyone is interested in it, or has any information on its use, or could give me any advice on how to go from here I would be very appreciative. I have a photocopy of the original handbook/manual which detail as follows:
Nuttall ALL GEARED 7 1/2" - 15 1/2" SWING CENTRE LATHE.
He had it in working order (though a few years ago now) and ran it off 3 phase power. The size and the weight (approx. 23 cwt) are the main considerations. If anyone is interested I'd be glad to provide more information. thanks, Debra
