This was a LOML 1st lesson into OT a trial run usually done as a basket weave but we decided to try this instead leaving a gap

Wood is Camphor not sanded as yet so will sit and wait till another time.

No my Rose Engine is still a WIP she was using David Laird's who is a Wizard at OT and has done many Demonstrations around the country.

Here is an exceptional looking finish to one of the OTGA http://www.pnc.com.au/~k_j/OTGA/ members Tim he has produced some fine work with it.

Even once it gets to the stage when you can start using it, it'll still be a WIP... I don't know anyone who has built their own who will say "it's finished." :U There'll always be bits that can be improved. And it's worse when you start checking out other people's RE's 'cos then you see ideas that you want to pinch... but have to strip yours back to bare essentials to accommodate.

(I suspect my RE is becoming a project in and of itself, rather than a means to an end. Something I laugh at in other people. :B)

Toni will send an e-mail as its a long description then I'll post it here

Skew your not wrong one of the new members who only visits once a month developed his own style I'll post pics when sorted and asked permission. To which David Laird got a bain wave and within a week had restyled his own machine.

Constantly in upgrade I see a fellow in the USA has made his Jet Mini into a Rose Engine headstock is a rocker type :o believe he's taken out a pattent on it.

found it here you go

Dunno how he could get a patent... it's hardly an original idea and the majority of the construction is someone else's work! (I'd thought of doing similar, 'cept I couldn't bring myself to attack my lovely li'l Leda. :U)

BTW, kudos to your other half. :2tsup:

My thoughts exactly Skew see they are selling all the tackle to fit in an hour :rolleyes: :no: for US$1600/$1700.

I would hate to think re-aligning the headstock each time you need to turn :doh:

To everyone thank you for the comments and praise for LOML :2tsup: I don't mind admitting she is leaving me for dead.:B:;
