Hi Guys
Is mango good to turn as i have a few peices but wonder if it is worth while getting more. The second lot would cost me and be a bit of a pest to chase up but i could do it if worth while.

Yup. :2tsup:
A ton of fun with a tool while wet but you can't sand it.
Goes mouldy while you watch it & that isnt pretty.
Cuts nice while dry too but heats up the tool quickly.
Finishes beautifuly once dry if you go up through the grit grades.
I like it. :2tsup:
I don't like the blue stain mould that it often gets. :(

Yep - I'll second that:2tsup:.
Have really enjoyed all the Mango I've turned.
Do a search of the woodturning forum if you want to see some nice pieces done by several people.

Hi JAMC
Same a cliff said , watch the dust in the dry stuff as it can a bit bad and you can have a reaction to it { I do , but worth it } finishes great especially if you take it too about 2k grit and shellawax or Glow it , gets a nice yellow stain through it
Cheers

It is more like water, not the same as the stuff that leaks everywhere when you are picking them, that can burn you that stuff.
Things do get a bit wet & you need to mop up afterwards.
