:p Finally got some time to start the fitout of the workshop :D

Still have a loooong way to go and time seems to be disappearing faster than I need it to

nice one mate. would have placed the planes closer and had shelf space but whatever work for you. looks well lit.

p.s. did you make the bench or pick it up somewhere else.

The Work Bench is at least 152 years old & I got it from my wife's great great grand-father not long before he died

The family were boat builders for the "Morton Bay Cruiser" set last century. The bench is tiny @ 6' X 2' but it's nicely made. I've had to replace the legs due to termite damage but the top is perfect, it's made of European Beech.

That corded drill on the floor looks like an old Sher model. If it is, I have not seen one for 30 years.
Lovely old workbench. I bet those vises have wooden screws. Keep the vaseline up to them if that is the case.

Hi Rob,

Yup, the drill is a Sher duel speed which I inherited from my father, I don't think you could kill it with a stick, it's been droped and kicked around all it's life and it still comes back for more!
The bench vice screws are 1-3/4" thread and run smooooth with the help of a little bees wax.
