It says it was manufactured in Dresden around the 40's and the bed is satmped with
NAZI EAGLE.
Nice looking old lathe IMO, but I wonder how many tools of war it produced for use against Aussies.

Hi Fossil...
I posted about that machine on PM...looks like a good machine. I understand your remarks about the its history, but don't forget that we killed more people in and around the factory in Dresden than died in Hiroshima. That was pribably one of the last machines that they made.

Very interesting - wonder how it got all the way out here?

Why is all the interesting stuff on Ebay so far away from me?

There's a nice old Hercus Drill press in Sunbury Vict on Ebay at the moment too. May as well be on the dark side of the moon as far as I am concerned.:(
