:? Has anyone made a version of this tool. Used it once and is easy to sand insde of bowls. Great control of disc, over plain extentions.:B

Hi Keoni...
Is this a commercial made add-on? Don't think I've seen anything like it in catalogs.:?
Cheers,
Ed :D

Hmmmm, did you hear that Cliff? I recall reading a couple of times about a bloke who uses a glove with velcro sewn onto the the finger to sand inside turnings:D

Real turners just glue the grit straight to their fingertips. :p
Interesting site, Keoni. Personally, I'd be more interested in the "The Woodturner's Friend" and it's extension than that Extend-a-sand thing as I reckon that "free-wheelers" are less inclined to leave marks than "driven" sanders. (My personal opinion only.)

Just had a good look and paid more attention to the price. Its abit expensive at $129, you could use a drill bit extension for $15 and do the same job.
They may be wood turners making stuff for wood turners, but they are not cheap. I use the drill bit extension and have no complaints to date.

The el cheapo drill bit extension works fine for me to power sand inside hollow forms and deep bowls. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_hi?url=search-alias%3Dtools&field-keywords=drill+bit+extension&x=0&y=0
