Hey all, does anyone know of a program that would let you enter sizes then calculate how to chop up a 4x8 sheet of plywood. I'm forever trying to get the most out of my wood and i'm wondering if there is an easier way to figure this all out. thanx all

Cutlist plus is a commercial product for calculating sheet goods.

From memory Stuart of Stu's Shed and a moderator on this site used an online program for calculating sheetgood.

Another similar product to cutlist is Sheet Layout.
You can get it here (http://www.sheetlayout.com).

You can also download, for free, Cut List, a WinBlows based freeware program.

Although not as fast, nor with as many bells and whistles as CutList, it works pretty well. I estimate that I saved four sheets of plywood recently using it to develop cutting plans for a large kitchen (used 30 sheets, so over a 10% savings).

The one thing I wish it did would be to have it print out labels.
