I milled a PCB that I want for a limit switch isolation board.

I use Eagle PCB layout software that has a free version. Limit is 100mm x 80mm board layout.

http://www.cadsoft.de/freeware.htm

PCB-gcode is a ULP or plugin that is available also free. This outputs the board to gcode ready to cut.

Cutters I get from this link,

And here is another good link,

Hi Greg

That is a very neat job. Thanks for the links.

Where do you get your circuit diagrams from for the various boards you want?

Cheers
Geoff

Nice work Greg,
Did you use a mill bit for the tracks?

It is a very simple breakout, so no circuit diagram.

This can daisy chain with a Xylotex for isolation to some limit or home switches. Should keep noise under control.

I used the 60 degree spade bit from the link above. Cut about 0.1mm deep with a stepover.

Pic of the board populated except for some resistors missing.

PS, the one posted above I got some pin spacing wrong. In the bin. :)

Greg,
Have you done any double sided boards?

No I have not as yet tried double sided Geoff

I made a little video. Just because I can. Too much time on my hands. :)

Hi Greg,
I could hear the CNC orchestra above the spindle noise on the video. I will have to make the mounts for mine and fit it to Obott rather than wait for the new machine to be built. Same old story what do I do first.
Check your letterbox next week. :D

Yes Greg, terrific stuff. I am really very jealous of the lack of noise that spindle makes. Gunna have to get me one of those.

I agree, Amazing work. Video was great. I thought i was funny, i was just thinking about my build and the accuracy and then saw the video, thats enough along with the 3d video to really get this thing built. I will be extremely happy when it is built.

Great work, keep the videos and ideas coming.

Daniel,
Check out the videos here (http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63995).

Not a lot of detail on the machine but lots of infectious enthusiasm :2tsup:

[I think there's at least one machine doing PCB's so I haven;t completely hijacked this thread...]

Yeah they are great videos and by the looks they were a great day. Hopefully for the next one ill be able to make it. Those videos are saved to my overloaded saved files folder. Those videos and others i have really help you get out of a slump if need be. This new build is really getting me going, as i have high hopes for the machine and what it will enable me to do. All i need now is more money!!! lol. Funny how this hobby can put a huge dent into your wallet. :-)
