i was watching tv a while back and saw an add for the camping and caravaning show (i think). there is a song played during the add sung b john williamson that goes sompthing like.

........pack the camper up and get the show back on the road......

and thats all i can remember but it was a good song and i cant find it .

anyone know what its called?

it is a good song i wish i could get it.

there are still a few carrying on the tradition of those great aussie artists like Slim Dusty and Smokey Dawson.

most of what they call country music these days isn't it's "just rock and roll in a cowboy hat"

it's also a line form one of slim dusty's songs of the same name.:2tsup:

yep thats what i call it. :p

i cant stand the "country" radio that play all that crap. iv got 2 mp3 cds cramed ful of slim dusty. 450 songs all up. and a nother 2 with smokey dawson john williamson and the carter family. tru country music:U.

you are missing out on a great lot of other music and artists, you should widen your horizons and listen to a variety of music.

Thats why your old man doesnt give you any socks cos he can still remember----

I think you'll find Rock 'n Roll came from the Blues with a hint of country. Check out recordings from Sun Records
