Dumb Question

I didn't know what you guys were on about when talking about this cnc machine. then someone said it cuts circles and i went looking with google. found cnc router for sale on ebay and it is like $4000.

And wooooowe it deos alot more then just cut circles:) i recently cut bar stool tops out of 50mm hardwood and wouls of loved abetter way of doing it the cuting it the best i could before sanding it down.

So what does cnc stand for and is it these big $ machines you all have???

Typically we build for $1,500 upwards for a MDF machine but I budget for around $3k for a steel and aluminum machine.
