Does any body know of any sites that have plans to build your own clamps? I have seen a couple of pages with home built clamps but none with plans

Gooday.

You could try these 2 sites. Not knowing what sort of clamps you want makes it hard. Most clamps are just an anchor and some means of applying pressure. This includes rubber bands, load tie downs, screws etc, etc.

G'day Motho

There have also been many well illustrated plans, etc. for home made clamps in the pages of Fine Woodworker Magazines over the years. You could try your local library for the Fine Woodworker annuals or check out the Taunton Press (click here) (http://www.taunton.com/) site for more info.
