Hi Guys,
Can someone tell me how I post a photo onto this forum. I would like to share some of the pieces I have turned for criticism or otherwise. I have just finished a couple of babies' rattles with captive rings. They are for a pair of twins so each had to be distinct.
cheers

Hopefully after I have typed this, I will press a button and the two photos of my rattles will appear. They are both turned from US Cherry and are finished in walnut oil. They were made for a pair of twins so they had to be distinct. Thanks to big shed for his help and thanks to Ern for his encouragement. You will notice that the captive rings are not consistent in size. I hope that will come with experience. At this stage I am pleased that I can do them at all. Any comments are welcome.
cheers Anne

Nice turnings Anne!:2tsup:
.....actually the graduated size of the rings (rattles006) adds to the overall design:clap3:

Cheers,

Ed :D

Well done Anne, :2tsup: tried a couple of them once both finished up with one ring each so they made the fire wood heap.

Nice one:2tsup::2tsup:
I hope the twins love them as I'm sure they will. I can see them becoming a family air-loom.:)

As for the rings they look alright to me. and I'm sure the twins will not complain:D

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your nice comments. In the card attached I told the twins (who are now 6 weeks old) that they were not allowed to use them to hit each other on the head!!

Hi Joe,
I looked at your previous posting - the vase with the captive rings. That would be SO easy to do. I can assure you that I have stuff ups too.
