Had some small pieces of white and yellow birch that were going to be scrapped but decided to try a couple of candle holders and they ended up being goblets. Actually the only difference is the bore size. The short one was longer but-- we really don't need to discuss that. It will be longer when I decide what plan B is.
Plenty of flaws in them but I learned enough to allow better results if there is a next time.
They are about 50 X 150mm. The inspiration came from the celtic knot design but was too lazy to do the rest.
Your helpful comments would be appreciated.

They look good to me Oldiphred!!

Some of the nicest pieces are made from wood that was going to be thrown away or almost made it into the woodstove!
