Great job on the boat and trailer. Cannot quite make out what the large white support rollers are? Are they actual boat rollers which turn as the boat slides on or off the trailer? I have a Wayfarer road base ( the lower part of what was a combi trailer) I plan to use and whilst I have been looking at simple wooden beams across the trailer, this arrangement shown looks to provide great protection for the hull as it is being transported to the water.

If you could post where the items were obtained that would be great. Thanks, Brian.

Nice job with the cover...to prospective builders...think about your cover at the beginning of the project. I regret not doing this for my early boats...I still struggle with taking the time to quickly and effectively cover them to keep out debris and rain and snow and critters. Doing this work as part of the planning for the project is key b/c if like me once the boat is done, you are just using it and storing it between uses.

Richard just sent me a link to a whole bunch of photos that are on the Yare Valley Sailing Club in Norfolk.

I do hope Richard will keep the local Punts in line with the Goat! (I shouldn't say that the Punts are the second fastest historical dinghy class after the International 10sq metre Canoe).

But click on this to see the slideshow of the Goat Island Skiff in Norfolk, UK (http://www.yvsc.co.uk/goatislandskiffslideshow/index.html).

Nice building pics and the start of many sailing pics, I hope!

Is the mast forming the ridgepole under the canvas? He's done a good job of having all that organized in advanced.

Thanks blanche,

I have not seen fenders with a hole through the middle before. I will be towing my Raid41 650 miles back home when she is completed so these will help a lot on such a long journey.

Also looks as if it will also make pulling the boat on and off her trailer very smooth and hassle free.

What diameter tube fits the hole? I have made a lightweight trolley already of 1" stainless?

I am hoping also to tow Trim over the the east coast in May next year when the UK-HBBR, that's the UK home boat builders association have their meet at Barton Turf. It would be terrific if we could sail a Goat and a RAID41 together.
