Managed to get hold of some nice logs ..9 in all ,average 300mm in diameter.
Can someone identify the timber ,grown here in Newcastle, cuts like butter with a beautiful subtle grain running through it.Spun up some rough bowls and it has no tear out at all ,great to work with ,spins up snow white with a grain.Have taken a photo of a small section of leaf branch that was with it.
Looking forward to the I.D. from the forum sleuths ,as I have no Idea at all.
Cheers.
