... the gouge digs in a bit too hard:no:. This was my first attempt at a bottle stopper. Was planning on a finnial but hadn't made up my mind yet. Wood is an unknown burl from the garage that was the right size. Have some more of it out there so might have another play today if I lose interest in the other jobs on the list.

Sorry about the photography, the camera wanted to focus on the mandrel and not the wood.

My next turned box would be my first turned box:roll:. I will be keeping the bit as there is still a bit of wood left in it, could even get a keyring out of it too. Its a pretty big blow out through the thread so will cut another bit of the burl and try being a bit more patient this time:;.
