I want to make some picture frames to house various prints I have. Thing is I don't want the cheap moulding from the local hardware store. I want intricate ornate expensive stuff. You know like the framing you see around really good paintings. They are old prints and I really don't think tacky frames will do any justice. If I could get hold of some old frames to restore that would be ideal, but thats another story http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/smile.gif

I can't get the stuff locally so am wondering if anyone knows of a source that can mail order the moulding in Oz. Even better if they had an internet site.

Anyway, just thought I would put this one to you all and see what I get http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/smile.gif

Try the yellow pages. Look under Picture Framers. Most will sell you what you want at a reasonable price. The better ones will have moldings that will knock your sox off. They deal mainly with quality art work and not cheap photo shop junk so they usually have lots of high class moldings with intricate carved and applied plaster paterns etc.

Hope this helps.
