Hi,
I am in the market for a oscillating edge sander either a carbatec or jet. Does anyone use these machines and any comments will be much appreciated. I make finger jointed boxes and would use it to finish the sides.
thanks

Hi Les
Do you mean a spindle or belt (linisher) sander

Hi Bob I meant a belt linisher, If it could be set at an accurate 90` then I could sand the fingers down and square the side of the boxes.
thanks

Hi Les
I have the Leda version of the "Big Boy" 6" linisher and it would do the job as long as the box was no higher than 6".
Personally I use a random orbit to clean up the dovetails mainly because the belt sander can be both aggressive and exciting at times. I feel that the ROS has more control.
