Hello WillyinBris
How about a stopped Automatic Tool Changer???
I was working on this about 18 months ago but sort of lost interest. The mechanicals appear to work but I didn't stick with the software.
After using a high speed spindle I doubt that I would vere go back to it - any offers for scrap 8-)))
I tried bellville washers (look them up ) but couldn't get enough force with the air cylinder.
So what happens is when the cylinder cycles, the cylinder " opens " and the holder drops out, air off, spring closes, draws a new holder into the housing and away you go.
I mounted it at the wrong end of the X axis which gave me " issues " with the limits, a better way would be to have it at the opposite end ( axay from X0 Y0 ) but like I said I lost interest.
I also have attached one photo to show that like most things we do when self taught there is some " learning " to be done, that was an early attempt when I thought plaster of paris would be good to coat the foam with, it was too but it held to much moisture which turned to steam which didn't really help.
