The missus will be after a few things to be built around the place so I'll be stingin' you for some help over the next few months.

Jersey is on the eastern seabord along the Atlantic. It is the most populous state in the Union.:C
The only redeeming thing about Jersey is the fact that you can get Hoagies and CheeseSteaks that are to die for! And there are more broads in Philly than you can shake a stick at!:2tsup:

Also lots of Mafia activities:no::no::no::no:

Hoagies ? What are they ?
Leopold is in the state of Victoria, a couple of miles just out from Geelong (second largest city in the state) and of course home to the mighty Cats football Club (AFL) Seen any Aussie Rules games ?

Happy with your new president ?

G'day Al
Great to see another Leopudlian on this forum, and a Cats fan to boot!!!
It's good to be part of an Australian forum where you can relate to companies and places that are mentioned in posts. American forums are great, but this feels more homely.

Hoagies ? What are they ?

A hoagie is a style of sandwich popular in Philadelphia and the surrounding region. It consists of an elongated roll typically packed with a selection of cold lunch meats, sliced cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet or hot peppers, oregano, and olive oil. The roll is sliced down its length forming a cradle for the ingredients, somewhat like a hot dog bun only longer.

Some years back. You say there are rules?:o

Happy with your new president ?

No. My feeling was that the American people didn't have a viable candidate this time around. I wrote in Donald Duck...he didn't win.:doh:

Ed,
You are a cheeky bugger !!
and yes there are rules... probably too many !!
Alright... do you have a sport you can sit down to watch?

I still play cricket with our local club but at 45 I'm slowing down plus my back is giving me a bit of curry !! We're short on wicketkeepers so I'm doing that again.
I'd better ask... Have you seen a game of cricket?
The Hoagie sounds good mate.
So far as elections go, we didn't have very good options either. I think I voted for an independant bloke.

Hey Dallas,

Yep, always good to get a quick bit of gos from another local.

So I'm starting over ...again. I had to leave my old workbench when we sold the previous house. Made it myself. Very proud too. It was hard to leave behind.
We're now on a smaller block up in the new estate next to the Portarlington Rd.
Level ground which is great. The last two were on slopes (both in Leopold).
How long have you been here?

Al,

Been here about 14 years off Rebecca drv. My son plays under 12's so I may have seen you around the club.
Saw your post about the fit out of the new shed.

Yeah Dallas,

I'm having a good time in the 3rd's at present. Had to sit out last game with a bad back though. Been in Leopold since 1988. It's grown heaps since then.
