I’ve just finished this Tas. Blackwood buffet for a lady. The finish is 1 coat of sealer, 3 coats of oil/poly mix and then buffed with ubeaut wax.

(I wish I could take better photos:-)

You like it? :U

Very nice wongo, i love tas blackwood. How do u find working with it? I've found it pretty hard on tools but well worth the effort.

I found it pretty easy to work with. Yes, it is hard on tools, but I constantly cleaned up the blades and cutters with steel wool and turps. It is a bit more work but it gave me a clean cut every time.

That's a beauty indeed.

Incidentally, re photos, try using a tripod and disabling the flash.

Howdy, you are going to hate me even more. Because I am building one similar to this one but it is 2 times bigger, with dovetailed drawers and all that. :D It is going to be a busy Christmas break. :U

Wongo.....

Just to let you know, I should have some more blackwood in December, and some Tas myrtle as well.

I will definately have some golden n silky oak, around 10 boards rosewood and some red cedar as well.....
Just in case you need something else to do over Christmas....
Regards and great work

Greg
