I just stumbled upon a transcript of a1996 interview of Bob Stocksdale at:

http://www.archive.org/stream/pioneerwoodlathe00stocrich/pioneerwoodlathe00stocrich_djvu.txt

And another one from 2001: http://www.aaa.si.edu/collections/oralhistories/transcripts/stocks01.htm

It goes on and on, unfortunately no photos. He is one of my turning heros.

Thanks for the site with photos.

Google: Bob Stocksdale, one of the interviews is titled:

Bob Stocksdale Oral History Conducted by Signe Mayfield for the (http://www.aaa.si.edu/collections/oralhistories/transcripts/stocks01.htm)

Try this for the long one:

http://bancroft.berkeley.edu/ROHO/collections/subjectarea/artslit/art_sculp_photo.html

Then scroll down to Bob Stocksdale, this is better than the first one I posted because you can click on different chapters, without having to dig through the whole thing.

I hope this works.

One can always Google Bob Stocksdale and look at everything that shows up. The Wiki article said he died at age 89 and was turning until the end. Gives me hope, I'm only 69.
