Pergola trusses

Hi All, I'm about to put a pitched roof on my small deck. I'm planning to build 6 trusses that will attach to the fascia on the house side and a bearer on the fence side. They will sit 1 metre from each other with the battens running along them with laserlite on top. My question is, do I need to cross brace them or will the laserlite, along with the battens themselves, provide enough stability? Thnaks, Mark CH
