G'day folks,

Today I put the first coat of Danish Oil on my dining table. It is my first piece of furniture (should have started on something smaller first up), so let me know what you think.

It is 100% Jarrah - The legs are old power pole crossarms from Kalgoorlie (about 30 yrs old), the table is a combination of 100 year old timber from a good friends house in Cottesloe and old floorboards from a retirement village.

a variation of colours in the top always looks great to me.

Oh yeah, I like that! :2tsup:

I've always been a fan of "chunky" furniture, which is odd considering I'm only a little feller. :rolleyes:

Those floor boards have now got a light duty retirement job.

Nice to think that timber is cared for and recycled instead of finishing up at a tip.

Hope you get many years of service and compliments over the years.

Wonderful Whit68!!:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

Like Skew I am a fan of chunky furniture, as long as it is well done.
Great recycling too.:):):)
