View Full Version : My Workshop

Hey Guys!

Thought I would post up a few pictures of my workshop,

I have only had it for just over 6 weeks as we moved house recently. Since moving I have put the MDF sheeting up around the walls as underneath it is some very horible white brick. I chose to do this because I can now put a nail and hang anything anywhere, it is also far better for dust as the brick would have been hard to keep clean. The SCMS bench is also new however the other was all ready there except it was in an affull state and I spent a day fixing it up.

Anyway hope you like it, I sure do :D

All comments appreciated, and questions are great :)

Alex.

trust me, its not usually that neat, and the floor is generally coverd in saw dust, however i decided to give it the TLC it deserved and vacumed it and gave it a big clean, hence why i took the photos (:

:o 14 years old and he's got a well laid out workshop with lots of space :C

Well done :2tsup: the white walls would have given reflection and brightened the room better to see.

Hi Alex.r

Is that to look at or does someone do work in there:oo:

Seriously if that is how you keep your workshop, it is absolutely fantastic:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

Make sure you keep a photo to remind yourself of what it should look like:D
.
... maybe you could come and do mine for me:D I moved some timber in mine yesterday and actually discovered I had a concrete floor in my shed!!!!!

Enjoy your woodwork and this forum,

Chipman

Good on yah! Keeping a clean workshop is keeping a clean set of lungs. I have an old woody mate in his eighties who spent 4 weeks in hospital from pneumonia because he didn't clean his workshop enough.
Great habit to get into, stick to it. Get a dust mask and if you can afford it, get a dust extraction kit.

Alex., My new workshop will be tiny, when it is finished, but yours will be an inspiration. Thanks very much.

Looks very good, hope you get lots of shop time to enjoy it.:2tsup:

I second the vote for painting the walls white, it will really brighten things up (although your young eyes may not need the help as much as mine would).:(
