Bowl in Ash

Hi All finished turning this bowl last weekend, the wood is Ash it was given to me by
a friend who's no longer with us.I've been thinking of something special to make out of
it, well here it is I've left it with a natural edge.turned with 10mm bowl gauge,and very sharp scrapers and very little sanding,finished with sanding sealer and danishoil.

Put a glass insert in the center and you have a neat chip'n'dip bowl:2tsup:

Hi Tony, looks great mate. Ash is good stuff for turnings, I like that wood.
At least another woodturner who discover that using a really sharp scraper needs almost no sanding anymore.
