Hi all,

I have a large mango tree I felled in the backyard in Brisbane, and I'm looking to give the wood away to anyone interested...

Pics available on request.

Thanks,

B

Welcome to the wonderful world of Woodworking Australia.

Pictures are always a popular, but just a rough idea if it is big logs, a whole tree in one piece or tiny bite sized bits.

What suburb?

Thanks blackhole.

Suburb is Toowong.

Tree is cut into logs ranging from 2m long and approx 40cm dia, to 80cm long and 15 cm dia... Main trunk is still in place.

Hi Conwood,

Excellent :2tsup:

I don't have a trailer or any other means to get the wood to you. If you want it, you'll have to pick it up from Toowong.

Let me know if I should keep it for you. I was planning to chip it very soon if no-one wants it... :o

Thanks,

Brett

Not for me unfortunately, but for anyone thinking of it, mango can have really spectacular colours in it - brown, green, yellow etc. - very attractive. Don't know if it's always like that, but what I've seen & used was.
Also, it soaks up oil like blotting paper when dry. Just be prepared.

otten,
Do you have any of the mango pieces left?

I'd love some - but I have a mango tree next door I've got my eyes on.

However, I have nowhere to store it until it dries.
