What are the rules to sending wooden things overseas? I know that nothing with bark on it is allowed into Australia, I figure it would be the same going out. What else?

This might help.

Also this:if people are unsure about what is and is not permissible to send as a Christmas gift, information is available by contacting a Customs Information and Support Centre on 1300 363 263 or emailing: [email protected]

Wood turned objects fully finished off and sealed generally dont attract much attention. Much of it is where its coming from and the type of timber. Occaisonally it maybe subjected to radiation.
I have not had any dramas to date in sending to the USA and NZ dunno bout the UK tho'
