This is my first post as far as showing anything I've made goes. It's a small jewelry box I made out of Red Cedar & Camphor Laurel finished with 9 coats of 60% gloss lacquer. Even though it's relatively simple I had a lot of fun making it.

Hi cqvillas,
Welcome to the forum show...!
Very nicely executed, good timber contrast and well finished!
This would be a good piece to have a WIP of its making. As you said, quite easy to do, if you know how to tackle the different stages safely, otherwise, it becomes a 3 edged fingers destroyer :C, not mentioning its "flying" capabilities as a UFO...!:o
Looking forward to see future works of yours...!:;
Cheers:2tsup:

Thanks for the comments RBTCO,
I actually turned it round & then cut it on the bandsaw which is why there is a variation in the thickness of the bottom portion. I could of overcome this by using more templates possibly.

That is so pretty! I love the contrast between the two woods that you picked. You made something very special there! :)

Hi TTIT,
Yes I would love to. I was the one who e-mailed you a while ago about coming out your way to give you a hand on one of your wood gathering trips. As you said it is still a bit tropical this time of year but I will be in touch when it becomes a bit more comfortable.
Cheers,
