I wasn't exactly sure which forum to stick this in... But this is a woody thing, Lots of carving involved, so I'm wondering if anyone out there is a builder or collector of wooden model ships?
I've come across this old (1940's or 1950's I think...) model ship build kit, whilst cleaning out the garage of my childhood home since mum has sold up & is heading to a retirement village. It was hiding in a box, in a box, in a box and the only real information I have about it is that the company that made it is called KeelBild (Yes that is the correct spelling) from Newcastle in England, and are long gone as a company.
The model is unbuilt, Balsa & very retro indeed.
Any information of any kind would be appreciated, as it is a bit of a mystery. I've never really seen a kit of this kind before at all.
