Any of you guys effected by the Fire that was reported here? Our "News" told only a short clip about a widefire creating death and devistation.

Thanks for your interest Hickory.

None of our members eem to have been directly affected. but the death and destruction has been staggering, with 181 confirmed deaths and the figure expected to rise to nearer 300. Whole townships have also been destroyed along with thousands upon thousands of acres of forest destroyed - not just burnt. The toll on the native wildlife is undoubtedly apalling as well.

Unfortunately yes.

One arrest so far for a fire in the south east of the state, that has resulted in at least 20 deaths, and countless tears and heartache for those affected. Guy was described as being in a delicate mental state.
He wants to hope that they never bring back the Kangaroo court, or he will swing in the breeze.

And to make matters worse, if that is possible, the accused man is a member of the local CFA fire brigade (http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,25060018-5006301,00.html) that battled the fire:((
