Good Evening Friends,
What is meant by the term " Common Grade Lumber?"

Respectfully, :)

It's a grading of wood used to determine the percentage of clear space on a particular face of a board. There are several "common" grades specified in various grading systems used around the world but all are generally classed as lower quality than 1st's or 2nd's (or clears)....

Various common grades can specify quality of timber from furniture grades down to that used for pallets and crates....

Good Morning Tonz,
You are 100 % correct in your answer and I liked it better than the glossary I got the quiz from as all it said was that common lumber is lumber that has obvious defects.

Thank you for your support.

Respectfully, :)
