With that macadamia oil you better keep it to put macadamia nuts in it!

It's very pretty - nice wood, nice shine, like the shape! :)

Nice beads Ray, and I like the undercut lip.
That would have made the hollowing interesting :)

Nice one Wheelin :2tsup:

Is that a lip on the inside, perhaps that is the shadow Masoth is talking about.

Great piece Ray.

One question. I have been away from turning for awhile but intend to get back soon, Question is about those beads. What technique and tool did you use?. In the past I've always used the skew point. Makes a beut bead but ocassionally you run into the death spiral.

Jerry I used the skew and yes i had a death spiral :oo::roll: glad it was on the first cut not the last so an easy fix Used the skew point also nice and easy

Oh the bowl is gone to an old school mate today when he came into H&F's open day
during the 60's we were good friends we were in metal and woodwork together for years 9 & 10

30+ years later we meet up again in hospital 2 years ago and become friends yet again.

Allan has done a lot for me in that time as he is a fitter and turner engineer and I felt it was time I showed him my appreciation.
