Some really fantastic work there.

If I had to pick a favourite it would be Page 2. William Hunter.

Whenever I see pieces like those I wonder why I persist with my mediocre skills. Until I pick up another lump of wood and think "what's hidden inside of this?" anyway. :)

...because for most all of us turning is a passion (suffering) to do better than the last time at the lathe. We all strive for quality pieces off the lathe.
We may not receive the monetary compensation and the "ohh-ahh's" that the Del Mano crowd does (and they certainly deserve it...a lot of hard work goes into their work), but that certainly doesn't diminish the importance of our works...and like you said Skew, it's great to find out just what is lurking inside that lump.
