scroll saws

hi,
I have been useing my scroll saw today,and i have made a mobile but i was woundering if anyone could tell me if you have a thing like an annimal were the leg are meeting the ground and you want to cut out the bit in the middle ,I am not quite :confused: sure how you do this with it could anyone help me do the please.

Drill a hole in the waste area first, insert the blade through the hole and then attach the blade to the saw.

Get hold of Patrick spielman scrollsaw books to learn the basics its easier if you have a "pinless " saw the blade doesnt have the pins top and bottom naturally the hole you can drill can be a lot smaller
