Has any one have any infomation on a old lathe MACON model D 301. it is very old is is driven with an overhead flat belt. any help appreciated.

Are you sure it is MACON and not MACSON? Macson were made & sold by McPhersons for quite a long time.
If you can post up some pics it will make it a lot easier for someone to help you.
