I really have doubts how this carving went, well actually I do. Three quaters of the "carved out section" went staight into the dust extractor after a decidedly loud bang. It was one of the few ocassions I wasn't wearing a face shield but luckily I didn't get hit by any fragments. It was the last finnishing cut before sanding, The glue marks you can see were to stop a bit of splitting in the sapwood that I was trying to retain as there was a bit of spaulting in it.

Any one else bothered to take any pics of their failures??

I do keep a leg I was creating for a blanket box where one peice miraculously got to be upside down compared to its mirror partner! kwwp it in plain view of where I do my layouts as a reminder that measure many, cut once, does not only apply to cut and measure but also to right/left handedness!

I don't have any failures, I never make a mistake and anyone who says I do is lying.

isnt a failure just a slight deviation from the original plan!!!!
