hey guys this is my first post where im actually putting something ive made. The hall table is just a solid jarrah shaker style reproduction all joinery is by hand except for the mortice and tenons which join the legs and rails. I finished it with about 6 or 7 coats of shellac. the little wine table is obviously not done but i thought i'd put it on here anyways. It is american black walnut with 2 4mm strips of rock maple running through the centre perpindicular to each other, legs joined to post with hand cut tapered sliding dovetails top is almost ready to go on. The water stone box was made completely by hand! we started with a very rough sawn board about 30mm thick and had to get it down to 20 which took alllllllloooot of time. Cutting the wedged through mortice and tenons was quite challenging but they came up ok slightly rough but ok for a first crackk i reckon. Main timber is saligna, and as you can tell we werent allowed to use any abrasive papers at all!
