Hi all

Been having fun with resin again! Here are my latest efforts. Probably made the first one a bit too fat but it's for a tall large handed person so might be ok. It's solid pigments not mixed in properly to the resin so there are some nice swirls and also transparent bits to the blank. The second came about as having a bit left over from an earlier pour so I put it in a small mould and then tilted the mould while it set. Third one is my first attempt at a ribbon blank - pretty pleased with it. There's a front and back view of it - slimline kit for this one, polaris from timberbits for the first two.

Cheers

Stewart

Good job on the ribbons. I keep telling myself I should get around to doing some, just never seem to have time to go through the full process. I actually did try making some ribbons last weekend with a bit of leftover resin from another pour, but left then too long and they dried straight

Oh, this post should be in the casting & stabilisation sub-forum, too.

Russell.

Stewart you did a swell good I like the idea about no centre band.

Russell if you use a heat gun you should be able to bend the ribbon.
