Hi
Could someone point me in the right direction on a suitable timber that could be used for a pizza peel. The pizza dough sits on the peel then transferred to the oven.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
Cheers Wardy

All wood burns, but some species are more flammable than others. I would avoid any resinous wood like pine and gum trees.

Sycamore, Beech and Birch are traditionally used for culinary utensils and chopping boards because they don't taint food even when wet. There's plenty of Birch in Australia and most specialist timber merchants stock Beech and Sycamore/Maple.
