What wood is this - fishing lure

Posted this earlier in the General area but this forum is so vast I thought some of you that frequent this area may have missed it.

Am wondering what wood you think this lure is made from. The lure is made in Asia i'm fairly sure. Any help appreciated!

My guess is it belongs to the Shorea genus.

Hi. I'm from Indonesia. Those strips perpendicular to the wood grains seems very familiar to me. My first guess would be Albizia falcatta / Paraserianthes falcataria , second chance is Cadamba wood.

Looks like any one of the 190 or so species of Asian Shorea that go under the name of meranti to me.
